TAFE NSW has announced that 21 fee-free short training courses are now available online to assist anyone who wants to up-skill during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education, Geoff Lee said the courses on offer would assist job seekers and workers looking to diversify their skills during the health crisis.
“The NSW Government understands that circumstances have changed for a lot of people and business owners,” Mr Lee said.
“Which means the way they work and how they conduct their business has also changed,” he said.
“The TAFE NSW fee-free accredited courses will contribute to helping businesses stay in business and people stay in jobs.”
Mr Lee said the 21 short courses covered a range of topics including administration; digital impact; health and medical knowledge; leadership and performance; practical business skills; and online marketing for small business.
Managing Director of TAFE NSW, Steffen Faurby said the organisation was committed to ensuring people had access to first-class, customised training to meet their needs.
“For over 130 years, TAFE NSW has been preparing the State’s workforce for the jobs of tomorrow and it is no different during this time,” Mr Faurby said.
