These melodious celebrations are packaged by the South Australian family-owned and operated festival cruise company, Choose Your Cruise, which has been creating music lover holiday experiences for nearly a decade.
Fun for family
Project manager Caitlin Manov believes people come along to share their passion for music and to be a part of the fun and family culture onboard.
Cruisin’ Country 8 brings together more than 40 of Australia’s most respected country musicians for a seven-night cruise. Embracing the theme of ‘Looking Forward, Looking Back’, it presents a journey through song of Australian country music’s past, present and future.
This year’s line-up includes John Williamson (on his fourth cruise), Troy Cassar-Daley, Graeme Connors, Gina Jeffreys, Sara Storer, Tania Kernaghan, Anne Kirkpatrick, James Blundell and Amber Lawrence. Other familiar faces include Buddy Goode, Bill Chambers and Simply Bushed.
The cruises will not only feature a plethora of live music experiences, but also immersive onboard passenger activities such as dancing lessons, workshops and bush poetry. Seven nights of rock
With an incredible local and international line-up, the who’s who of rock music will join together for the 2018 Rock Your Boat music festival.
With a theme focused on embracing the best rock music from the 1970s and 1980s, the eighth annual cruise features headliners Foreigner, best known for their international hit I Want To Know What Love Is. The line-up is rounded out with iconic rock acts such as The Romantics, Ross Wilson, Russell Morris, Shannon Noll, Eurogliders and Chocolate Starfish. Showcasing some of the best vocals, musicians Mark Gable, Jason Singh, Reece Mastin and Dale Ryder will join the 2018 line-up as supergroup The Voices. A total of 40 incredible artists will be part of the seven-night event.
There are massive seven venues on Rock The Boat with artists performing day and night, so there is always a musical extravangza happening for rock fans.
Caitlin Manov says one of the things that sets Rock The Boat apart is the fact that audiences can experience their favourite bands in a plethora of different atmospheres – from an arena-style event to intimate showcases.
Find the authentic English atmosphere in the intimate setting of the Quill and Compass, relax on the pool deck, enjoy the elegant cabaret theatre in the Colony Club You will be captivated by the different artists performing day and night.
The Aurora Theatre spans three levels, with incredible acoustics and lighting. The cruise isn’t just about experiencing great live music, but also participating in a host of onboard passenger experiences.
Foreigner doen’t need an introduction to rock-loving audiences. With an extensive back catalogue tha features the likes of Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded and Waiting For A Girl Like You, they have been delighting music fans for four decades. With lead singer Kelly Hansen reputed as one of rock’s greatest showmen, time spent in the company of Foreigner is always unforgettable.
Detroit’s The Romantics help round out the stellar line-up in 2018.
When it comes to Australian artists joining Rock The Boat, it doesn’t get much bigger than the likes of ‘The Real Thing’ Russell Morris and ‘Mr Eagle Rock’ himself Ross Wilson.
Get on board for some amazing deals. Being on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean is one of the best vantage points for stargazing. The week of music is certainly going to be first class, judging by the line-up of artists.
