Victorian women are to get the chance to build their own specialist skills to thrive in sport and recreation in a new scholarship program now open in the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation.
Opening applications for the scholarship, the Office said its new Change Our Game Professional Development Scholarships Program offered grants of $5,000 and $10,000 for development opportunities for women working in the sector, “so they can obtain and flourish in leadership roles.”
“There’s also the opportunity to receive personal career coaching to help women map their career paths and identify the skills they may need to reach senior leadership roles,” the Office said.
“Successful applicants also have the chance to attend the world conference of the International Working Group on Woman & Sport, being held in New Zealand in November 2022, as part of a Change Our Game Delegation,” it said.
“The group is the world’s largest network dedicated to advancing gender equity and equality in sport, physical education and physical activity,” it said.
The Office said applications for the Change Our Game Professional Development Scholarships Program were open until 22 August.
