Featherston for NZCC
Commissioner at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Roger Featherston (pictured) has been cross-appointed to the New Zealand Commerce Commission (NZCC) as an associate member.
The cross-appointment arrangement between the ACCC and the NZCC helps ensure consistency of approach to merger cases and competition issues affecting markets in both countries and Mr Featherston will be the second of the ACCC’s cross-appointees to the NZCC, the other being Sarah Court.
The Chair and Deputy Chair of the NZCC, Mark Berry and Sue Begg, are currently cross-appointed as associate members of the ACCC.
Changes to ARENA Board
Samantha Hogg (pictured), Dougal McOmish and Stephanie Unwin have been appointed to the Board of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
They join Chair, Martijn Wilder, and members, Susan Jeanes and Margaret McDonald, who continue in their current roles.
Ms Hogg is Chair of Tasmanian Irrigation and a director of Hydro Tasmania. Mr McOmish is the Chief Operating Officer of Sundrop Farms, while Ms Unwin has held a range of senior positions in the energy and resources industries.
They replace outgoing members, Maria Atkinson, Jon Jutsen and Katherine Woodthorpe.
