Schwager to take on IP Australia
The acting Chief Operating Officer at the CSIRO, Michael Schwager has been appointed the new Director General of IP Australia.
Mr Schwager (pictured) replaces Patricia Kelly (also pictured) who is to retire today (10 August) after almost five years leading IP Australia and 38 years in the public sector.
The new DG will take up his position in late September with Fran Roden to act in the position in the meantime.
George Vuckovic is to act in Dr Roden’s position of Deputy Director General IP Rights Division until she returns.
Terry Moore is to join IP Australia on 16 August as Deputy Director General Policy and Corporate Division following Deborah Anton’s secondment to the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and Rob Bollard is to act until Ms Moore commences.
Kidd joins IPAA
Isobel Kidd (pictured) has been appointed Learning Director at the NSW Division of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA).
Ms Kidd has 30 years of experience in training and consulting and has a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Sydney.
Most recently she was Head of Assurance Learning at SAI Global.
