ANU appoints Blackhall
Dr Lachlan Blackhall (pictured) has been appointed to lead an international research program at The Australian National University (ANU) aimed at improving ways to integrate battery storage with the electricity grid.
Dr Blackhall will lead the $8 million Battery Storage and Grid Integration Program jointly funded by the ACT Government and the ANU.
He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering.
New members for hospital board
Four new members have been appointed to the Canberra Hospital Foundation Board.
They are Bronwyn Fagan (pictured), Peter Munday, Susan Proctor and Lynne Pezzullo.
They join existing Board Members: Debbie Rolfe (Chair), Tony Henshaw (Deputy Chair), Nicholas Glasgow, Ian Thompson, Ronnie Croome, James Willson, Chris Bone and Tony Lafferty.
The Canberra community has donated more than $8 million to the Foundation since it was launched in 2011.
