Safe Work Australia is reminding the public that National Safe Work Month is on again in October workplaces all over the nation invited to take part and focus on health and safety at work during the month.

In a statement Safe Work Australia said the month was an ideal opportunity to build awareness of work health and safety, encourage discussion about safety at work and share best practice.

“It’s easy to get involved – visit safeworkmonth.swa.gov.au, download the National Safe Work Month campaign kit and use the resources to promote work health and safety in your workplace,” it said.

Safe Work said the theme for 2021, think safe. work safe. be safe. had been chosen to encourage everyone to take responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.

It said the National Safe Work Month campaign kit provided a range of digital resources, including a digital brand kit, hero image, website header, social media tiles (for Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter), email signature, web badge and posters, including a customisable poster.

“You can customise the campaign kit resources by adding your own logo to a range of posters, social media tiles, website banners, desktop wallpapers and e-newsletter and media releases,” it said.

The Agency urged participants to use the hashtags #ThinkWorkBeSafe and #safeworkmonth when promoting their organisation’s National Safe Work Month initiatives on social media.
