Molico has named Mike Johnson as its new CEO and opened a Canberra office following the announcement of a business restructuring in October.
Mr Johnson said he looked forward to the challenges ahead as the person chosen to helm the newly amalgamated, Australian-owned corporate services business.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to lead such a diverse group of people and offerings to our client base, both existing and new,” he said.
“There is no doubt that Molico will seek to attract new commercial partnerships, investors and markets, to ensure we offer bespoke and unique products and services in the media, communications, data, intelligence and aerospace markets.”
He has previously served as a chief operating officer, on boards and in national sales leadership positions across the media, management advisory and aviation industries.
Mr Johnson’s appointment came during the same month as Molico officially launched a new Canberra office, on Northbourne Avenue in Dickson, to better serve the capital region.
Molico said the new office would provide an opportunity for improved response and support activities to ensure Canberra-based clients and partners received the best possible experience.
Mr Johnson also voiced his support for the new office.
“The addition of a Canberra-based office demonstrates a commitment to clients and the broader ACT economic region, that Molico is willing and able to support local businesses in their efforts to grow,” he said.
“We can also focus on attracting and retaining local talent, which will provide local knowledge and foster stronger networks.”
The new CEO and office followed the amalgamation of several of Molico’s previously disparate business units. Before the merger, numerous businesses had been in commercial partnership with, partially owned by or under the effective control of the ownership group since 2014, including Men’s Headspace, Molico, Molico Public Relations, Stact Cintel, Elon Ulrich and The Premier Group.
These businesses have since all been amalgamated into the Molico group, trading as business units of Molico, to reportedly provide a better client experience and streamline offerings.
Molico’s business units provide a range of media, intelligence, data and management consulting services, with a focus on the mining, government, financial and aviation industries.
