The final day of Floriade: Reimagined will see the crowd favourite, Dogs’ Day Out, transformed into the all-inclusive Pets’ Day In.

The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) said in a statement that on 11 October people and their pets would be able enjoy photography competitions, on demand workshops, including dog yoga, as well as quizzes and resources for all pets big and small.

“For those who want to explore Floriade: Reimagined’s blooms with their pooch, Cockington Green Gardens are joining forces with the RSPCA Canberra to host Dogs’ Night Out,” the Directorate said.

“On Sunday 11 October from 6pm till 8pm, dogs and their people will be able to stroll around the gardens and take in the sights, sounds and smells of springtime in the capital,” it said.

“This is the first time Cockington Green Gardens has hosted a dog-friendly event with $5 from the admission of each four-legged friend being donated to the RSPCA.”

CMTEDD said the RSPCA would be on the lookout for the best dressed dog, biggest dog, smallest dogs and fastest sitter on the night.

“We want to see your best dressed pet (human or pet matching sets encouraged),” the Directorate said.
