Agencies across the NSW Public Service are to be required to disclose information relating to Senior Executive numbers and remuneration in their annual reports.

The new requirement is included in Treasury’s Annual Report Compliance Checklist under the heading Numbers and remuneration of senior executives.

Treasury said the 2018 Annual Determination from the Statutory and Other Officers Remuneration Tribunal (SOORT) lists the four Public Service Senior Executive (PSSE) bands that apply.

“Agencies preparing annual reports for financial years ended between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019 must base their PSSE disclosures on those four PSSE bands,” Treasury said.

It said SOORT had released the 2019 Annual Determination in August of this year.

“Agencies preparing annual reports for financial years ending between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020 must base their PSSE disclosures on those four PSSE bands,” it said.

Treasury sad that in addition, Agencies are required to include a statement addressing the steps they are taking to adhere to the newly established NSW Cyber Security Policy (CSP).

It said that statement must address whether the Agency has assessed its cyber security risks; if cyber security is appropriately addressed at Agency governance forums; if a cyber incident response plan is complete; and whether certification of the Agency’s Information Security Management System is in place.

“Agencies’ CSP attestation statement for 2018-19 will cover that entire year,” it said.
