The NSW Public Service Association (PSA), has announced a series of training sessions for its members over the next two months, which can be completed online or face-to-face.
“Whether you’re still working from home, are slowly coming back to the workplace, or you never left, there’s never been a better time to undertake some training,” the PSA said.
“At this stage, we are running a mix of face-to-face and online training in August and September, and we want you to come join us,” it said.
“We are running full-day face-to-face courses, half-day workshops or one-hour webinars.”
The union said face-to-face sessions may change as the COVID-19 situation evolved.
“If a session needs to be cancelled, it will revert to a three-hour online session,” it said.
PSA said that some of the August and September sessions included: Introduction to the PSA/CPSU NSW (Half-Day); Role of the Delegate (Half-Day); Reading your Award/Agreement (one-hour Webinar); Running Member Meetings Remotely (one-hour Webinar); Women in the Union; Mental Health Training; Work Health and Safety; and Dealing with Workplace Bullying.
It said people didn’t need to be a workplace Delegate to register, and the training sessions were open to any financial member.
