The Science Meets Parliament annual conference gathers those at the coal face of developing a better understanding of the scientific world to meet and have-a-chat with politicians.
Among the scientists was astrophysicist, Professor Lisa Harvey-Smith now enjoying her title as the first ‘Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Ambassador’.
She inspires with her back story and is committed to making a difference for all those keen to find work in the emerging disciplines that need STEM learning for the future.
The evening’s keynote address was delivered by Professor Fiona Wood, Director of Burns Service of WA and 2005 Australian of the Year.
