Scholarship applications are now open for two of the Queensland Public Sector’s most valued leadership development programs – People Matters and the Public Sector Management Program.
The programs aim to foster greater diversity of thought and lived experience in leadership positions, with the 2020 scholarships focusing on supporting development opportunities for regional and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, and people with disability.
All scholarships are offered on a one-for-one basis, with Agencies funding one paid registration per scholarship placement. Applications will be coordinated directly with partner organisations through chief human resources officers.
Applications for the Public Sector Management Program close on 20 December. The
Public Service Commission in partnership with Queensland University of Technology is offering 12 scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, as well as people with disability.
Applications for the People Matters leadership programs close one week prior to each regional visit.
Scholarships are offered in six locations.
One scholarship is available per Agency for the three-day People Matters stream in Cairns and Townsville.
Six scholarships are available per agency for the one-day People Matters Performance Conversations stream in Cairns, Maryborough, Mt Isa, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Townsville.
Agencies are strongly encouraged to prioritise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as people with disability, for these regional opportunities.
