The Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy has announced a new suite of contract conditions and standing offer arrangement (SOA) conditions it expects to be of use to Departmental procurement teams throughout the Queensland Public Service.

In a statement, the Department said the contract and SOA conditions had been reviewed by the Crown Law Office and approved by the General Goods and Service (GGS) Category Council.

“The GGS has also included a new suite of tendering templates,” the Department said.

“These new documents include a better layout, making it easier to read across different devices.

“They incorporate new policies and legislation, enable electronic transactions, and clarify definitions and interpretations.”

The Department urged procurement teams to make themselves acquainted with the GGS templates so they would be better able to use them in the future.

“Procurement teams can search for the documents using the ForGov search tool,” it said.

The Department said an 11-minute video had also been produced to explain the new contract and SOA conditions.

In the video, Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing, Glenda Blanch (pictured), says users could search the document name or keywords relating to templates and terms and conditions using the search function for procurement policies, resources, tools and templates.

The video can be accessed at this PS News link.
