NSW Police have announced a $1 million reward for information about the 2001 disappearance and suspected murder of Janine Vaughan (pictured).

Homicide Squad Commander Detective Superintendent Scott Cook said Ms Vaughan, then aged 31, left a Bathurst nightclub and was last seen getting into a bright red sedan on Keppel Street about 3.50am on Friday, 7 December 2001.

Detectives from the Homicide Squad’s Unsolved Homicide Unit established Strike Force Toko II in 2013 to re-investigate Ms Vaughan’s suspicious disappearance and suspected murder.

As their inquiries continue, the NSW Government has announced a $1 million reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, Detective Superintendent Cook said.
