The ACT Government has announced it is looking at how the future design of its Child, Youth and Family Services Program (CYFSP) can best support the Territory’s children, young people and families.
According to the Government, to help to do this it has made a call to hear directly from the community about what was working and what could be improved.
For example, it wants to know: How young people and families find the services they need?; Are the services easy to access and meet their needs?; If a young person or family accesses one service, how easy is it for them to link up with other services they may need?; and what can be done to improve people’s experiences?
It encouraged people to share their experience.
“Do you work with children, young people and families that use support services in the ACT?,” it asked.
“Are you a young Canberran who needs some extra support? Or a parent or carer of a young person or family in need of support?”
“Can you help us find out more about people’s experience of child, youth and family support services?”
It said three simple surveys had been developed for interested people – young people, parents and carers, and frontline workers – to complete.
“Visit our ‘YourSay Conversation’ page,” it said.
