Sport and Recreation Victoria is calling on active and inactive Victorians alike to help shape the future of sport through an online survey.

Deputy Secretary of Sport, Recreation and Racing, Peter Betson said the State of Play Attitudinal Survey would measure certain attitudes of Victorians towards sport and active recreation.

Mr Betson said that Survey would assess current perceptions of opportunities, barriers and progress for participants, elite athletes, volunteers, coaches, officials, employees, leaders and directors.

“The results of this survey will provide invaluable insights into the sport and active recreation sector,” Mr Betson said.

“We’re very excited to use these findings to better plan for the future of sport in Victoria.”

He said the State of Play Attitudinal Survey was now live and would remain open until Sunday 6 November.

Mr Betson said the Survey should take 10-12 minutes to complete, and by answering the survey, respondents would go into the draw to win one of 25, $100 Visa Gift Cards.

“Please share the link to the State of Play Attitudinal Survey broadly – with your friends and family, teammates, and across your social media accounts for example,” the Deputy secretary said.

“You don’t need to be involved or interested in sport to complete this survey – we’d love to hear what everyone has to say.”
