The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is to run a week-long Spring Holiday program in Canberra at the end of this month, introducing would-be actors to the art of acting.
Head of NIDA Open, Tricia Ryan said that by delivering programs across Australia, NIDA Open gave people of all ages and experiences the chance to benefit from NIDA’s world-renowned training methods and explore their own creativity through short courses, holiday classes and intensive part-time studio courses.
“This Spring Holidays NIDA Open is investing in the creativity of young people all over Australia,” Ms Ryan said.
“They will be able to take advantage of professionally trained teaching artists and practising industry professionals who work across the Australian theatre, TV and film industries,” she said.
“These tutors are committed to inspiring students of all ages, experience and interests to find their unique artistic voice and giving children and young people the confidence and ability to speak up and share their creative ideas with the world.”
Ms Ryan said that from 30 September to 6 October, NIDA Open would run its Spring Holiday program at Daramalan College, Dickson, with introductory to advanced classes available for different age groups including adults.
