The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is calling on Victorian public sector (VPS) workers with a background in criminology to join its new VPS Criminology Network.
DJCS said the Network had been set up to bring together staff with criminology backgrounds who were interested in sharing and discussing new policy-relevant research and networking with other criminologists working in Government.
It said members of the Network would participate in professional learning and development opportunities via guest speaker events and raise the profile of criminology within the VPS.
It said the convenors were Anika Dell and Caitlin Overington from the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
“Please spread the word among your VPS colleagues and encourage them to join too,” the Department said.
It said interested VPS staff could join the Network by participating in a five-minute survey.
It said the survey covered length of service in the VPS; criminology qualifications; reasons for wanting to join the Network; and areas of interest.
The VPS Criminology Network Survey can be accessed at this PS News link.
