The Premier has announced the State’s new Ministerial Cabinet following the election on 13 March.
The Premier, Mark McGowan announced that five new Ministers had joined the Cabinet – Dr Tony Buti, Amber-Jade Sanderson, Reece Whitby, Don Punch and John Carey.
He said they joined Deputy Premier Roger Cook, Sue Ellery, Stephen Dawson, Alannah MacTiernan, David Templeman, John Quigley, Paul Papalia, Bill Johnston, Rita Saffioti, Simone McGurk and Dave Kelly.
The Cabinet Secretary is David Michael.
Mr McGowan also announced the Parliamentary Secretaries as Samantha Rowe, Darren West, Terry Healy, Simon Millman, Yaz Mubarakai, Jessica Shaw, Jessica Stojkovski, Sabine Winton, Kyle McGinn and Matthew Swinbourn.
Michelle Roberts was appointed Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the first female elected to that role.
Mr McGowan said being a Minister was a privilege and came with significant responsibilities.
“I am confident my team will carry out their duties responsibly and diligently, and we will continue to govern in the interests of all Western Australians,” Mr McGowan said.
“My Cabinet team includes a mix of experience and renewal, with members from the city and the regions,” he said.
The Premier thanked the people of Western Australia for putting their trust in his Government for another four years.
“My team and I will work hard every single day to keep our State strong,” Mr McGowan said.
