Finalists in the Public Sector Team of the Year category in the inaugural SEEK Talent Acquisition Recognition (STAR) Awards have been announced.
They are the Department of Justice and Community Safety; Gold Coast Health; Transport for NSW; Eastern Health; and Department of Health — Queensland Health (formerly Health Support Queensland).
Managing Director at SEEK, Kendra Banks said the STAR Awards acknowledged excellence in talent acquisition and celebrated the integral role individuals and talent teams played in the success of their organisations.
“The winner of the Public Sector category will have demonstrated their team championing talent acquisition in the public sector whilst ultimately ensuring the very best candidates go on to serve the greater community,” Ms Banks (pictured) said.
“The talent acquisition industry has had to adapt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, placing additional importance on the recognition of hiring teams’ efforts to adapt with the movements of an organisation.”
She said there were many benefits to becoming a finalist and a winner in the STAR Awards.
“You will gain recognition from your organisation and peers for your work and achievements, and showcase your capabilities to leaders in talent, HR and business,” Ms Banks said.
“In addition, you will get insight into how the best in industry operate and handle challenges in this current landscape, while you can also connect and grow your network by meeting with peers at our gala event when the winners are announced.”
The Award categories are: Talent Acquisition Leader of the Year; Talent Acquisition Team of the Year (over 1,000 employees); Public Sector Team of the Year; Best Employer Brand Initiative; Best Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative; Best Candidate Experience Initiative.
The winners will be announced on 9 February 2022.
