VisitCanberra has opened a new visitor information booth at Canberra Airport.

The team at the new booth will assist travellers arriving at the airport to get the most out of their stay in Canberra and the region.

According to VisitCanberra, the team will be able to provide first-hand advice and other information about what is currently on in Canberra.

A spokesperson said visitors would be encouraged to chat to a friendly local for the best deals and information to get the most out of their visit.

“The team can assist with last-minute accommodation, tour bookings, maps or tips about the coolest restaurants, cafes, bars and events on in Canberra and the region,” the spokesperson said.

The VisitCanberra booth is located on the ground floor of the airport within the arrivals area and is open from 8am to 11pm daily with digital screens, booking portals and brochures available 24 hours.

“The information booth is staffed during peak flight arrival times and visitors will have access to digital touch screen information at other times,” the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the booth was especially important now that two international airlines had Canberra as a destination, opening the National Capital to a much wider range of visitors from across the world.
