The Department of Health is establishing a Sector Advisory Panel to provide expert advice and support for the WA Health and Medical Research Strategy 2023-33.
It is seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from suitable people based in Western Australia to represent the State’s health system and medical research sector on the panel.
Panel members will represent a number of specific areas, including universities, medical research institutes, health service providers, consumers, philanthropy and innovation.
People with significant experience or knowledge of Aboriginal health, consumer engagement, precision health, regional and remote medicine, digital health and prevention strategies are especially invited to apply.
The Department said the Sector Advisory Panel would meet approximately twice a year and members might also be required to participate in out-of-session activity.
“Member positions are unpaid and voluntary, with the exception of a consumer representative who will be reimbursed in accordance with Department policy,” the Department said.
Members’ terms will be for two-to-three years with the possibility of reappointment. Expressions of interest close on 28 May.
Those applying can do so by email at [email protected] and
