In his first message to all members of the Malaysian Public Service, new Chief Secretary to the Government, Mohd Zuki Ali (pictured) urged them to abide by the principle of neutrality and professionalism.
“You must respect that separation of powers is an essential element as enshrined in the Federal Constitution,” Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki said.
“It is essential that the Public Service gives the best customer experience to honour the people’s hope for an efficient, clean and trustworthy Government administration.
He said that in preparing Malaysia to become a fully developed nation, the efficiency of Public Service delivery must continue to be strengthened so as to support economic growth and to increase productivity for mutual prosperity.
“Civil Servants should also adhere to the five key principles, namely togetherness, interaction, dynamism, service quality and culture of integrity in driving service excellence, Datuk Siri Mohd Zuki said.
He also urged workers to act in tandem with technological advancements and what he described as the “fourth Industrial Revolution”.
“The use of technology will enable the people to deal effectively with various Government Agencies no matter where they may be,” the Chief Secretary said.
He also reminded Public Servants “to always maintain harmony, work as a team and have frequent interactions with each other”.
“Plan your work well so that each work process can be simplified and accelerated,” Datuk Siri Mohd Zuki said.
