Charles Darwin University (CDU ) is expanding its higher education offering into the United Kingdom.

The move to export Northern Territory education to Britain has been welcomed by the CLP Government as it represents an opportunity for CDU to grow student numbers and make the institution more sustainable into the future.

CDU will offer Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Information Technology (MIT) courses online in the last quarter of this year and establish a study centre in London.

“This is a bold and innovative approach by CDU to expand its footprint to the UK and grow international student numbers unrestricted,” NT Minister for International Education, Migration and Population Robyn Cahill said.

“The international education and training sector is a significant industry for the Territory, representing the NT’s second-largest services and sixth-largest goods and services export in 2023.

“We will continue to work with industry and the Australian Government to push for changes to international student policy that will support the Northern Territory.”
