On 15 November 2017 Coldplay completed their record breaking A Head Full Of Dreams tour with a concert in Buenos Aires and this album is the audio of that concert.
The album marks the first time a Coldplay concert has been released in its entirety.
The A Head Full Of Dreams tour has been confirmed as the third biggest selling tour of all times having played to more than 5.5 million fans across the world.
In Australia the A Head Full Of Dreams album debuted at #2 on the ARIA chart before reaching Platinum sales, adding to their incredible tally of 25 times Platinum Album and 24 times Platinum single accreditations in Australia alone.
This album can be bought as a CD/DVD package that includes an accompanying two hour concert film Live In Sao Paulo that was filmed the week before, on 8 November 2017.
There’s also a documentary film that charts Coldplay’s 20 year history, so the band are certainly milking the tour for everything its worth. Which is understandable when you consider the mammoth scale and costs associated with an undertaking of this size.
The album is remarkable for the scope of the exercise and the incredible audience involvement.
They were participants in the concert not a passive group of listeners.
The band run through their greatest hits and play tracks from all seven of their number one albums.
Coldplay really know how to work an audience, there’s lots of call and response and chat with the fans in Spanish.
I think the package to get would be the one with the DVD, my download didn’t include it and I’d love to see it.
