Libraries ACT has invited Canberrans to March into March with a busy schedule of events and activities for the coming month.
Executive Branch Manager at Libraries ACT, Vanessa Little said international bestselling author, Karen Viggers would present The Write Stuff writing workshop on 13 March at Gungahlin.
“Karen Viggers is the author of three novels: The Stranding, The Lightkeeper’s Wife and The Grass Castle,” Ms Little said.
“She writes contemporary realist fiction set in Australian landscapes, and her work explores connection with the bush, grief and loss, healing in nature, death, family, marriage and friendship.”
She said Libraries ACT also had a number of regular and continuing events for visitors to choose from.
“A professionally-trained StrokeSafe ambassador for the National Stroke Foundation will visit Belconnen Library on 22 March and Erindale Library on 27 March to share information about recognising and helping people who are experiencing a stroke,” Ms Little said.
“The Nourishing Little Minds workshops will continue through March at several libraries. Each session will include a food-based story time followed by hands-on food preparation of a delicious and family friendly recipe coordinated by an Accredited Practising Dietitian.”
She said Libraries ACT was also offering Bilingual Story Times and a Harmony Day Story Time.
