Director: Richard Gabai, Defiant Screen Entertainment
Cast: Nathan Parsons, Stephen Lang, Jackson Rathbone, Jamie-Lynn Sigler
The advertising blurb gives a clear indication of the storyline: ‘revenge has a new name’. Justice takes us back to a popular genre, a western, but with a spiritual/supernatural twist.
Parsons (The Originals, True Blood, General Hospital) is James McCord, a US Marshall whose quest to avenge his brother’s death, leads him to defend a small town from corrupt Mayor Pierce (Lang, Avatar).
Rathbone (The Twilight Saga) plays Thomas McCord, his preacher brother. Lang is brilliant as the villain and Parsons has assurance.
Gabai directs a period piece that defines how Pierce’s outlaws are trying to restart the Civil War.
