Confidence is building slowly with Tourism and Trade Minister Dan Tehan talking about overseas travel by Christmas. Even Prime Minister Scott Morrison has firmed up the government’s commitment to restart international travel once 80 per cent of people, aged 16 and above, are fully vaccinated.

While the question remains over the exact date when we can hit the road or jet off, optimism takes hold as travel operators put together some inviting holiday packages.

They have been launched to celebrate a gradual return to travel. There is one that comes to mind, going to the Maldives and Thailand. The two experiential packages offer a much-anticipated holiday escape that is sure to be amazing.

Centara Hotels & Resorts has put together a getaway of a lifetime with a 21-night Ultimate Twin Island Escape deals to two world-famous paradise islands – the Maldives and Phuket.

There’s a choice of an all-inclusive experience with the Luxury Twin Island Escape package or a Bed & Breakfast meal plan with the Grand Twin Island Escape for bookings and stays until 20 December 2021.

Local authorities have implemented relevant preventative measures and protocols. Fully vaccinated travellers can enjoy quarantine-free stays on both islands, provided they show proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to arrival, and follow travel guidelines of both their countries of origin and destination.
