NSW Premier Chris Minns has moved to “hit the ground running” with the swearing in of Deputy Premier, Prue Car, and six additional senior Ministers.
Announcing the interim portfolio responsibilities, Mr Minns (pictured) said there wasn’t a moment to lose in delivering on his party’s plans, particularly for essential workers and essential services in health and education.
Mr Minns said that along with her responsibilities as Deputy Premier, Ms Car (pictured) would also take on the Education and Early Learning portfolio with responsibility for Skills and TAFE; Tertiary Education; Western Sydney; and Youth.
Penny Sharpe has been sworn in as Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage with responsibility for Energy and Climate Change; Natural Resources; Water, Housing and Homelessness; Family and Community Services; Disability Inclusion; Women; and Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
Sworn in as Special Minister of State is John Graham, taking on as well Minister for Roads, Minister for the Arts, and Minister for Night-time Economy and Music.
He takes on the portfolios of Emergency Services; Regional NSW; Western NSW; Agriculture; Regional Transport and Roads; Tourism; Multiculturalism; Hunter; and North Coast.
Daniel Mookhey has been sworn in as Treasurer and Minister for the Gig Economy, and Micheal Daley sworn in as Attorney General.
Ryan Park takes on three Ministerial portfolios, Health and Regional health, Mental Health and the Illawarra and South Coast.
Minister for Transport, Jo Haylen is to have responsibility for Infrastructure and Cities; Customer Service; Digital; Better Regulation and Innovation; Hospitality and Racing; Property; Lands; Seniors; Veterans; Sport; and Central Coast.
Mr Minns said the remainder of the new Minister would be sworn in shortly.
