The independent review into workplace culture in the ACT public health system has called for submissions on the workplace environment and culture of public health care services across the ACT.
The review panel was appointed to ensure the public health system continued to deliver a high level of care to the community, and that it was an employer of choice for health professionals.
An independent office has been set up to support the review, which is will accept submissions from Canberra Hospital, Calvary Public Hospital, the Health Directorate and Canberra Health Services as well as members of the community, current and former staff, and other interested individuals and organisations.
Submissions will be accepted until 30 November.
In a statement, the panel said feedback was sought on the workplace environment and culture of public health care services in the ACT, including thoughts and experiences on what was working well and what was not.
“We have also committed to meeting face-to-face with some individuals and interested parties to further enhance their understanding and are looking forward to receiving a wide range of feedback,” the panel said.
“The review will protect the confidentiality and privacy of individuals who make submissions.”
The panel is expected to provide an interim report to the Minister for Health and Wellbeing by 31 January 2019, with the final report due on 30 March.
Information on the review and how to make a submission can be accessed on the ACT Health website at this PS News link.
