Actsmart is to host a workshop on how to save energy and minimise electricity and gas bills tonight (28 November) at the Woden Community Service Centre from 6 to 8pm.
To be delivered by Actsmart’s Ren Webb, the free event is set to give attendees the tools to both save money and stay comfortable in Canberra’s extreme temperatures.
Mr Webb will explain how he took his 1970s Canberra home from a two-star energy rating to six stars for under $4,000. Mr Webb said he now has energy bills of roughly $200 per quarter.
Topics to be covered at the workshop include: Understanding energy bills to ensure you are on the best energy plan; Energy saving habits and strategies; Increasing the efficiency of your house and household appliances; and Star rating systems
The Woden Community Service Centre is located at 26 Corinna St, Phillip.
Registrations for the event can be made on the Actsmart’s website at this PS News Link.
