The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) has launched a new Learning Management System (LMS) to replace its AEMO Learning Centre.
Announcing the new AEMO Learning Academy, the Operator said the LMS was part of its commitment to “proactive industry engagement”.
AEMO said the new Academy would give external stakeholders access to state-of-the-art systems for the best learning experience.
It said the new system design meant that for the first time, users could access the learning material on mobile devices.
“A user-friendly experience with access to learning material (and the ability to view course dates, now including Wholesale Electricity Market courses) at the touch of a button,” it said.
“In addition to the usual course offerings, users will also have access to a comprehensive catalogue of online and facilitated AEMO education courses.”
The new system would also allow for the enrolment of more than one person at a time and enrolment into more than one course at a time.
AEMO said key features of the upgrade would let users enroll on behalf of colleagues and there were new look National Electricity Market (NEM) and gas eLearning courses.
“For convenience, and to keep track of your learning history, any courses previously completed in the AEMO Learning Centre will automatically be transferred to the new LMS,” it said.
