The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has launched a new Cloud Marketplace to make it easier for public agencies to access cloud technology and capability.
The DTA said the Cloud Marketplace had been designed to meet the complex needs of Government Agencies which wanted to source value-for-money cloud solutions.
“Established through an open approach to market, the Cloud Marketplace includes more than 300 providers selected as cloud-capable sellers to Government,” the DTA said.
“Its catalogue includes small-to-medium enterprises (SME) and start-up companies as well as national and global providers,” it said.
The DTA said Cloud offerings were grouped in two procurement categories, Cloud Consulting and Cloud Services.
“The Cloud Consulting category lets buyers access cloud-based professional services using a simple rate-card system that gives buyers greater flexibility in how those services are used,” DTA said.
“The Cloud Services category includes various ICT capabilities offered under ‘as a service’ delivery models,” it said.
DTA said appointed sellers would be able to update their service offerings as cloud technology expanded and the Marketplace would be refreshed regularly to allow new sellers to join.
The Agency encouraged PS staff involved in sourcing cloud products and services to attend its upcoming training and information sessions on 19 and 20 April.
DTA’s Cloud Marketplace can be accessed through its ICT Procurement Portal at this PS News link and information on its training and information sessions found at this link.
