The ACT’s dog lovers have been invited to bring their pets to the ultimate Superhero Dogs’ Day Out as part of this year’s Floriade on Sunday, 14 October.
Floriade organisers invited dogs of all kinds to explore Floriade with special dog-friendly activities and entertainment to be staged throughout the day.
They said these would include presentations, a superhero costume contest, food and beverage for dogs and owners and appearances by celebrity dogs Avalon and Maluka, from The Adventures of Avalon and Maluka.
Also on the program was a meet and greet from the Animal Rescue Group; six dog demonstrations by Four Paws Sport and local Canberra Dog Obedience Clubs; a competition for the best dressed dog; and breed group photos.
Canberra’s best dog groomers will be there to show off their creative talents ranging from simple accessories to unique haircuts and spectacular colouring.
A total of 26 vendors will be selling toys, treats, collars, leads, clothing, kennels, grooming accessories, plush beds, dog food, dog giftware, pet hotels, pet friendly accommodation and dog washing.
If exhausted by all the activities, dogs and their owners will be able to enjoy the Pooch Café, located opposite the main Stage 88, where there will be tables and chairs set up to enjoy food and the entertainment on the stage.A variety of dog treats will be available for purchase.
