The Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) has launched a career service for people looking to find their first job, change their career or return to the workforce.

Delivered by the National Careers Institute, the Your Career website has been established as Australia’s authoritative source of careers information to help people of all ages take the next step in their working career.

In a statement, DESE said that for people displaced by COVID-19, looking for their first job, a change in career or a return to the workforce, Your Career would make it easy to find the information they needed.

“Your Career provides information about study or work options based on tailored careers information and highlights support programs available to help,” the Department said.

It said people visiting the website would find career quizzes that would help them explore jobs that matched their skills, interests and goals.

Also on the website would be information about study or training options to gain new skills, upskill or re-skill for a job as well as help with conducting a successful job search including résumé and interview tips.

“There are links to employment services to support people across many different circumstances, and an A to Z list of occupations, including detailed career descriptions, salary and available jobs,” the Department said.

The Your Career website can be accessed at this PS News link.
