A number of changes to Queensland Government Departments have been announced following the re-election of the State Government.

The services delivered by the former Department of Housing and Public Works have now been divided between a Department of Energy and Public Works; a Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy; and a Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport.

As a result, websites are being progressively updated to reflect the new arrangements.

The Department of Energy and Public Works is to be led by Mick de Brenni (pictured) as the Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen and Minister for Public Works and Procurement.

The Department’s responsibilities will include building policy and asset management; Government procurement; energy, and hydrogen energy.

The Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy will be led by Leeanne Enoch as the Minister for Communities and Housing, Minister for Digital Economy and Minister for the Arts.

This Department will include housing and homelessness; the Queensland Government Customer Digital Group; community services; Arts Queensland and the Corporate Administration Agency.

The Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport is to be led by Stirling Hinchcliffe as Minister for Tourism Industry Development and Innovation and Minister for Sport.

It includes tourism, innovation and sport and recreation.

The 55-page detailed list of the administrative changes can be accessed at this PS News link.
