Australians have a love of all things pink, and when you combine that with bubbles, you really are guaranteed to cover all celebratory occasions.

De Bortoli Prosecco Rose
Ever on trend, De Bortoli has paired pink with both its very popular Prosecco and its Moscato, the latter for those who prefer a touch of sweet / spritz, the Prosecco for those seeking a dry, crisp bubbly.
The Prosecco Rosé was a new addition to the De Bortoli line-up at the start of the year. You might recognise it for its colourful label of a sassy girl on a Vespa. It’s not a label you can easily overlook!
Prosecco has taken the world by storm in recent years, but it was only last year that Italian winemakers were given the go-ahead to add Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) to their Prosecco to give it a rose blush.
In Australia, there are no such constraints and, like the Italian wines, this one gets its gorgeous pale pink hue from the addition of a small amount of Pinot.
Assistant winemaker, Kate Webber, says that despite being the life of the party, this vegan-friendly wine is a serious bubbly and “quite textural”. It has an alcohol content of 11.5% and a recommended price of $17.99.
Kate says it was readily enjoyed over the previous summer with friends and family “and a great way to kick off the afternoon with a game of Finska under the banksias. We even mixed it with orange gin and soda for a festive touch.”

De Bortoli Petit Moscato
Moscato is perfect for those who like their wines a touch sweeter and a bit lighter. It also pairs beautifully with fruit desserts, making it a lovely way to end a meal, even if you prefer a drier wine at the start.
De Bortoli’s Petit Moscato has an alcohol content of 7% and a recommended price of $21.95. It also comes in a ‘petit’ 200ml bottle for $5.99.
The Petit Moscato is made from premium Muscat grapes from Rutherglen, a region renowned globally for producing outstanding wines with a unique regional character including fortifieds and reds.
Its gorgeous, blushing pink colour is highlighted by equally gorgeous labelling featuring succulents and other flora. It’s a beautiful work of art that goes perfectly with the style of such a bright, aromatic wine. Think of this wine like a berry sorbet, refreshing the palate with its light spritz and soft acidity.
A premium offering, it would be perfect for an indulgent high tea. Here’s cheers to being in the pink.
