The Australian Council for the Arts has unveiled a new interactive website revealing the behaviour patterns of arts audiences around the nation.

The Council’s Electoral Profiles, which are based on Federal electorates, bring together research on arts engagement, employment and ticketing trends across Australia.

The Council said each of Australia’s 150 Federal electorate divisions is represented.

It said users need to choose an electorate from the drop-down menu or map to display information for that electorate, including cultural and creative businesses and employment.

The Council said the Electorate Profiles online resource was the latest addition to its strong body of research about the arts, which was publicly available on the Arts Nation research hub.

“Drawing on new analysis of commercial ticketing data for arts and sport events commissioned from TEG Analytics, the Australia Council research aims to expand knowledge about the preferences, behaviour and purchasing patterns of arts audiences,” the Australia Council said.

It said users could find targeted data for each electorate.

The Council said information also included audience engagement with the arts, represented by ticketing trends across arts and sport, cultural and creative businesses and cultural and creative employment in each electorate.
