Peter Coaldrake has been named to deliver the Queensland Branch of the Institute of Public Administration Australia’s (IPPA Queensland’s) 2022 Irene Longman Oration.
Professor Coaldrake (pictured) recently completed a major review of culture and accountability in the Queensland public sector.
He is also the Chief Commissioner of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency, Australia’s higher education regulatory Agency, and Chair of the Board of the Queensland Performing Arts Trust.
Under the theme Pride and Purpose in Service, Professor Coaldrake will offer insights from his career leading Public Service organisations, as well as sector reform and regulation.
In a statement, IPAA Queensland said Professor Coaldrake would challenge the thinking about the purpose of public service today, drawing on reflections and insights from his career and his recent review.
“The Irene Longman Oration seeks to provide a unique opportunity for IPAA Queensland members and a select group of noted executive Public Servants and connections to come together, hear from a prominent leader with a focus on a relevant aspect of the sector, and encourage public interest and contemporary thinking,” IPAA Queensland said.
“The Irene Longman Oration, to take place on 20 October, is an exclusive, invitation-only event on IPAA Queensland’s annual calendar, with individual members able to attend this event for free as part of their membership. Seats are limited.”
