The City Renewal Authority has installed 11 hand sanitiser stations in public areas around the city and Braddon in an effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The Authority said it had installed the stations in high-traffic public spaces such as food and retail precincts, transport stops and parks.

“Each sanitiser dispenser has been installed approximately a metre off the ground to ensure inclusivity, and co-located next to common touch points such as bin shrouds, parking metres, bike racks and pedestrian crossing buttons,” the Authority said.

“At each dispenser there is appropriate hand sanitising signage to ensure users are adopting the correct technique for application,” it said.

“We hope you utilise this hand sanitiser to help prevent the spread of any germs and for your safety – remember to keep 1.5 metres of physical distance between yourself and others, and if you are feeling unwell, stay home.”

The Authority said three stations had been installed in Braddon, at the Haig Park Entrance on Girrawheen St, as well as Lonsdale and Mort Streets.

“Seven dispensers in the City: Glebe Park, Latin American Plaza, West Row, two installed on City Walk, and two installed at the Alinga St light rail stop,” it said.

It said there was also one hand sanitiser dispenser at Henry Rolland Park next to the bike racks and BBQ area.
