Holly Montgomery is an American singer/songwriter who is known for her soulful vocals and confessional songs.
Burn It Down is her latest single and it’s an excellent blues tinged country rock track.
Holly has an interesting backstory.
She’s been around the American music scene for many years as a solo performer, frontwoman for numerous bands, and also as the bassist for The Mustangs of The West.
However, in the early 2000’s she made a radical choice that could have seen her lost to the music industry for good.
Holly decided to embark on a new career and become a mother to three teenage orphans from Kazakhstan.
It was a big decision to make but she regrets nothing.
Now that her children have settled in their new country and matured into young adults Holly feels confident enough to return to her musical calling.
Of course, her experiences have found their way into her song writing and she is once again a staple of the Mid-Atlantic live music circuit, playing hundreds of gigs each year and recording and producing new music.
Burn It down is the first single lifted from her upcoming album Sorry For Nothing and, considering the quality of this single, the album should be well worth keeping an eye out for.
