By Josh Groban, Reprise Records/Warner Bros. 2018.
This is the eighth studio album by Josh Groban and the first that includes new material since 2013’s All That Echoes.
His last album, Stages, reached #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart and achieved Gold Record status in Australia and a run of five months in the top 100 albums chart.
We certainly love him because he has sold more than 500.000 albums and amassed over 6 million streams in Australia alone.
Josh has a lovely smooth, easy listing, style reminiscent of singer/songwriters from the James Taylor school of songwriting and presentation. It’s a timeless style that never goes out of fashion.
In addition to his stellar musical career he’s also in demand for his acting. \
He recently wrapped up filming for a new Netflix original series, The Good Cop, starring opposite Tony Danza.
As if this wasn’t enough, he commands mastery of a number of languages and sings in English, French, Italian, and Spanish on this album.
As further proof of his Renaissance-man credentials, Groban is an active arts education philanthropist via the Find Your Light Foundation which helps enrich the lives of people through the arts.
There is little doubt that Josh Groban is a global superstar and this album lives up to the expectation you’d have for a release from someone of his quality.
He has a great voice and all of his previous albums have attained Gold status and above.
This album will no doubt continue this incredible achievement.
In keeping with his superstar status, Bridges was recorded in multiple cities around the world and with the input of numerous producers including Bernie Herms, Toby Gad, Steve Jordan, Dan Huff and more.
Josh is joined by a number of guest artists on the disc including Sarah McLachlan, Jennifer Nettles, and Andrea Bocelli.
