Kings Park and Botanic Garden (KPBG) have announced that the Kings Park Festival is to run throughout September.
In a statement, KPBG said the Festival (1-30 September) celebrated the State’s flora, including the biggest display of wildflowers in Australia.
“Many thousands of wildflowers will be in full bloom in Kings Park and Bold Park,” it said.
“The Festival is also packed with workshops, live music, art exhibitions, walks, talks, demonstrations, science seminars and wellness activities to enjoy.”
KPBG said Kings Park and Bold Park were like nothing else that could be seen in the world.
“Everyone can enjoy the kaleidoscope of colour and learn more about our spectacular local flora, with many of the events free or low cost,” it said.
“The program is packed to the brim with more than 100 events from Kings Park and its commercial partners.
“Discover the stories of Kings Park and Bold Park and their beautiful flora with a wide variety of themed guided walks.
“Get hands-on with workshops and learn how to create the native garden of your dreams from Kings Park expert horticulturalists.”
KPBG also urged visitors the check out the rare and unusual plants at the Friends of Kings Park Native Plant Sale.
“Meet local artists at Aspects of Kings Park, be wowed by the Floral Regalia 2.0 community art project and admire magnificent floral installations,” it said.
“Or bring a picnic and relax in the park while enjoying the talents of local musicians.”
