Access Canberra is to undertake a redesign of its Fix My Street website as it migrates to a new online platform to improve online services.
Minister for Business and Better Regulation, Tara Cheyne said Canberrans would start to see improvements to Access Canberra’s online services over the coming months.
“As part of this work, the ACT Government will be redesigning the Fix My Street website,” Ms Cheyne said.
“The new website, expected to be launched later this year, will make it easier for Canberrans to use the site to report issues like illegal dumping, damaged footpaths or potholes as well as track progress of existing reports and make follow up enquiries,” she said.
“Ahead of the Fix My Street redesign, Access Canberra will be migrating to a new online platform.”
Ms Cheyne said that to enable the transition, the Access Canberra website would be unavailable from 7am to 5pm on 1 May.
She said the transition would also result in the removal of all Access Canberra website accounts from 30 April.
“These are the accounts that have previously been used to log in to Access Canberra and view user history, such as the status of Fix My Street requests,” the Minister said.
“Users will no longer be able to access their user history, including any outstanding Fix My Street requests, however all reports and queries that have been lodged through the current website will still be actioned and existing reports can be followed up by phoning Access Canberra on 13 22 81 and citing their name or email address.”
Ms Cheyne said more than 30,000 registered users were contacted by email earlier this week to provide advice and support with the change to service delivery.
She said users of the Access Canberra website would be able to set up an ACT Digital Account to continue to access its services after the transition.
Ms Cheyne said that during the website outage essential services would still be available, including car registration renewals; driver’s licence renewals; infringement payments; rates and land tax; and MyWay card top ups.
