A well-worn slogan, but it fits Queensland to a T – ‘Beautiful One Day, Perfect The Next’!
This augurs well with the exciting news that Queensland will begin opening its borders to hotspot areas from 19 November 2021. That’s when 70 per cent of the state’s eligible population should be double vaccinated. People will be able to fly into Queensland from an interstate ‘hotspot’ (e.g. NSW/VIC/ACT), provided they are fully vaccinated and have a negative COVID test in the 72 hours prior to the flight. They have to undertake home quarantine for 14 days. The picture looks even rosier after 80 per cent of eligible Queensland population is fully vaccinated (estimated to be 17 December 2021).
In partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), Accor – the largest hotel operator in Queensland – has launched a new campaign to encourage travellers to ‘Experience Queensland Summer Days’.
The campaign, which is part of TEQ’s major new ‘Great Queensland Getaway’ campaign, aims to give incentives to Queenslanders to explore their home state.
It’s hoped this selection of affordable and flexible accommodation deals will inspire travellers to explore the world-leading holiday experiences available in Queensland.
