Deb Nesbitt is a long-term Canberra resident. After coming home a few decades ago she’s finally over her love-hate relationship with what was a dull, small town and happy living in the vibrant, small metropolis Canberra has become.
Deb loves to chat and is deeply curious about nearly everything.
Her media career spans many decades, including about 25 years in the federal press gallery. For ABC Radio National, Triple J and ABC news and current affairs in the NT and Canberra, Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg Law she’s covered a plethora of stories about social justice, the law, science and climate change.
Deb’s work is driven by a passion for holding power to account, and she has a firm belief in people’s right to information so they can make informed decisions about their lives and communities.
