Canberra’s Kingston Foreshore was never the most salubrious part of town but today with ever-growing stylish homes, apartments and condos it is seemingly forever on a growth surge.
It’s very concrete to me. Yes, plenty of green spaces, lots of water and stylish residents, sashaying, walking and pedalling about with many a place to eat, drink and be merry.
New to the precinct is Calli.
Opened by former ACT Chief Minister and now national small business ombudsman, Kate Carnell, it was a gathering of friends and colleagues to congratulate Kay McCallum and husband John for their hard work, enterprise and realisation of a long-held dream to have a space for homewares in the middle of all that development and with all the style she brings to what she loves.
At the forum convened with expert speakers at the National Press Club and a concerted effort to find the ‘Best of health for Australia’, priorities were examined by Karen Carey, former Chair of the Consumer Health Forum and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) with Dr Sandro Demaio from the ABC’s Ask the Doctor and Professor Stephen Duckett, Head of the Health Program at the Grattan Institute.
With so many experts, so many health organisations and so much knowledge and enviable research it’s about time we had the ‘Best of health for Australia’!
But we’ll leave that to the experts.
