A revamped online portal, covering news, analysis and knowledge sharing about renewable energy, has been launched by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
Called ARENAWIRE, the upgraded portal is aimed at presenting the vibrancy and pace of the renewable energy industry, as well as the technologies and ideas changing the way energy is produced.
Announcing the relaunch, Chief Executive of ARENA, Darren Miller said ARENAWIRE was just one way the Agency could help Australians keep abreast with what was happening at the cutting edge of the energy sector.
“Our blog explores current issues and showcases the innovative projects and the people behind them who are leading Australia’s energy transition,” Mr Miller said.
“There’s a major and profound transformation happening in the energy sector that’s akin to the industrial revolution. ARENAWIRE deciphers the complex and pressing challenges by providing easy-to-read, insightful commentary supported by a range of multimedia.”
He said that in less than two years since its initial launch, the virtual newsroom had received more than 340,000 unique page views, highlighting the increased interest in renewable energy technologies.
“With content published every week, ARENAWIRE includes a free, monthly e-newsletter sent to thousands of Australian subscribers from energy sector experts to tech savvy consumers,” Mr Miller said.
“In the coming months, ARENA will also launch season three of its podcast series, ReWired, offering unique insights from experts within the renewables sector,” he said.
