The Australian Public Service Academy has launched a digital magazine to help Agencies set new employees up for success.
Launching APS Companion, the Academy said the magazine drew on the concept of continuous learning to provide essential information on what new and returning public servants needed to know to work effectively in the APS.
It said the magazine covered content that was common across the APS and designed to complement Agency induction processes.
“The APS Companion digital magazine comprises the ‘must know’ information to work in the APS,” the Academy said.
“This resource explains the APS environment, where to find important information and how to develop your APS career,” it said.
“Consider it your career companion.”
The Academy said the digital magazine provided access a range of resources, articles, learning experiences, networks, courses, and toolkits essential to working in the APS.
It said the magazine also included vital information on “who we are, what we do, how we work, and your role and responsibilities”.
“APS Companion will support you to take control of your career and optimise your own Learning and Development, so you are ready to serve the Australian Community, and our Government from your very first day,” the Academy said.
“[It] can be accessed when and where you need it, via phone, tablet or computer.”
